Located behind a heritage listed façade, Windust X Interiors designed a mixed use marvel that takes advantage of every opportunity for space and light. Positioned on one of Melbourne’s most sought after and lively streets, the clients brief was to create a space that would allow them to work and live while enjoying the views and lifestyle that the iconic Bay street has to offer. The ground floor consists of an office for the modern business and cleverly brings in copious amount of natural light through the side court yard.
The upper storey apartment however is where this project really shines. The strong build form of the upper storey draws you in from the grand stair case through the highly detailed kitchen joinery and out into the large entertainers balcony. The BBQ area on the deck make for an inviting place to spend your afternoons taking in the city views and beautiful sunsets while enjoying a nice red wine after a challenging day in the office below. A truly purposeful use of space and light.
