This large family home combines flowing light-filled open-plan interiors with a sensitive use of recycled red brick, timber, concrete and galvanised steel.
The client (an interior designer) worked with us onsite to achieve a highly distinctive industrial/contemporary feel.
Challenges included a 4.5m x 1.6m concrete bench top, co-ordination of joinery from an overseas supplier, developing engineering details for the galvanised feature steel beams and the construction of curved mosaic shower walls.
The intense level of detailing defines spaces and determines character.
