External stairs wrap around the space creating a fusion between the upstairs living space and the garden. Customised timber panel joinery units, curved ceilings, standing seam cladding and cantilevered metal shrouds combine to create carefully considered additions making economic use of the existing fabric and readapting it for contemporary family life.
