LOLA – TWO

LOLA TWO follows the same architectural framework as LOLA ONE, but the experience is deliberately different. Where one leans into restraint, this home explores contrast—richer, more expressive, while still controlled and resolved.

In the kitchen Taj Mahal honed quartzite anchors the space, bringing warmth and movement through its natural veining. Paired with Eveneer timber veneer joinery, the palette feels softer and more layered. It’s a subtle but clear departure—same layout, entirely different atmosphere.
Material consistency remains a focus, but here it’s elevated through detail. Metalcote finishes are used throughout—tying together handles, the stair handrail and the rangehood. It’s a small move that creates cohesion and gives the home a more refined, crafted feel.
The dining area introduces one of the more considered moments in the home—a fully concealed bar integrated into custom joinery. It’s not immediately obvious, but that’s the point. It reveals itself when needed, adding a layer of functionality without interrupting the clean lines of the space.
In the living area, the fireplace becomes a central feature. An Arabascato Orobico marble plinth grounds the design, paired with custom joinery and metal shelving. A sliding partition allows the TV to be concealed when not in use, maintaining the integrity of the space without compromising practicality.
The entry sequence is where the home really establishes its identity. Venetian plaster wraps the walls and continues seamlessly over custom joinery, sweeping up the curved staircase. It leads the eye directly to the circular skylight above, creating a strong but controlled sense of arrival.
Upstairs, the master suite has been designed to feel like a private retreat. A dedicated walk-in robe includes a built-in dressing table, while the ensuite is generous and highly functional, with double showers and basins. Materials remain consistent but are used with a slightly richer tone, reinforcing the sense of separation from the main living areas.
The bedroom itself leans into a more luxurious, hotel-like feel. A custom headboard anchors the space, complemented by Neolith Calacatta Royale stone detailing. It’s calm, refined, and intentionally minimal, allowing the materials to do the work.
Across the home, Evaya blinds are integrated and remotely operated, offering both privacy and improved thermal performance. It’s a practical inclusion, but one that enhances the overall experience of living in the home.
Below, the basement shifts again designed as a true entertainment zone. A golf simulator, cinema setup and relaxed lounge area create a space that’s completely independent from the rest of the home. It’s highly functional but still aligned with the same level of detail and finish carried throughout.
LOLA TWO demonstrates how a consistent design framework can deliver a completely different outcome through material selection and detail. It’s more expressive, but still disciplined—balancing warmth, function and precision in a way that feels considered from start to finish.
