The build required a considerable amount of know-how, patience and finesse to navigate inherit difficulty of the site. Our scope included the full refurbishment of the existing dwelling including replicating the front façade cladding. Upon entry you are taken in by the bright whiskey library which is enhanced by the use of three large sky lights that filter in copious amount of natural light. Bold colours and detailed joinery is on show throughout the home creating a sense of wonderment and joy as you make your way through each highly designed and carefully considered rooms all leading you out the unexpected rear deck and pool.
Quality in construction is unmistakable throughout this renovation and addition. A myriad of different build techniques have had to been used to achieve the bespoke and intricate architecture. Complex carpentry, highly detailed joinery and brass works, along with terrazzo tiling are just a few examples that come to mind. Extreme care had to be taken when building the rear pool which has a difficult interface with the foundations of the home and the large glazed sliding doors. Angular walls and exposed timber beams along with feature aluminium overlooking screens are all part of the quality on display through out this renovation and addition.
Words from our client
The build was exactly as we were promised and completed almost exactly on time and within budget with no surprises.
We love living in our beautiful house and the pictures are obvious why. It was an oasis of joyful colour and calmness during the turbulence of 2020. The build was exactly as we were promised and completed almost exactly on time and within budget with no surprises. Peter and his team were a joy to work with. They always kept us updated on changes that needed to be made and followed up every step of the way. We were just as happy with the process as we are with the finished house.
