The home is buoyant with examples of quality construction and build techniques. As you walk through the existing part of the home you can visibly see the craftsmanship in restoring the original features of the art deco home by custom matching the existing cornice, skirtings architraves and ceiling panels. The new and old is separated by a a custom full height 2m wide hidden cavity sliding door that builds the suspense as you traverse into the new. Show casing polished concrete floors, stone clad walls and large expansive glazed windows and doors. Yet there is no better example I can think of for quality in construction, than the build form and complexity of the raking roofs and slate works of the rear extension.
